Cleaning and care of unsealed floors:

Soft water range / 0–8.4 °dH: 25 ml / 10 litres of water

Medium water range / 8.4–14 °dH: 40 ml / 10 litres of water

Felting wool: dilute approx. 50 ml with 500 ml of hot water.

Origin and properties of the ingredients

Pure olive oil from certified organic cultivation is processed with potassium lye into a mildly cleaning soap in a simple process without any external energy input. Thanks to its slightly refatting properties, olive oil soap is very well suited to caring for unsealed floors of ceramic, stone, wood and cork. Ethanol, obtained by fermenting plant starch or sugar-containing by-products such as molasses, helps keep the soap liquid and thus allows a high concentration in the liquid product. Besides its pleasantly refreshing scent, essential cajuput oil inhibits germs.

Biodegradation

Soap made from plant oils has the incomparable property of combining, immediately after use, with the lime always present in waste water. This neutralises the soap's own surface-active effect (primary degradation). This primary degradation takes place within a few hours. The lime soap is then broken down by micro-organisms 100% into carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation). Ethanol returns to the natural cycle within a few hours. Soap is classified by the OECD as readily biodegradable.
